Gem of an idea at Burton College

First-year students on Burton College's NVQ Level II beauty course have been learning about the art of "toothgems".

The latest fashion accessory to sweep the beauty industry, toothgems are designed to last a year without harming teeth and are applied without drilling or pain, says specialist trainer and lecturer, Julie Milakovic.

She spent the day with stu dents, showing them how to apply a range of jewels.

Said Julie: "Toothgems are something a bit different - and it's very important to keep up with industry trends."
