New qualifications for beauty therapy will be developed by awarding bodies later this year after HABIA announced that new standards for beauty therapy have been approved.

Scottish Beauty holds its latest exhibition in its third year of running. Taking place on Sunday 15th May at the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh, the Scottish Beauty exhibition 2005 is the highlight of the Scottish beauty calendar and the only professional beauty event of its kind held in Scotland.

Entrance is free for salon owners and managers and qualified beauty and holistic therapists, or nail technicians.

The leading two beauty associations in the UK the Federation of Holistic Therapists and BABTAC support the exhibition and host two lecture programmes free of charge that are accredited for points towards Continual Professional Development certification.

The second Scottish Beauty Nail Competition will also be hosted due to the success of the event of the previous year. Nail Technicians are invited from across the UK to compete for this esteemed award.
